At Melon Local, our marketing team’s first priority is telling Melon’s story — making sure our brand, content, and resources stay fresh, consistent, and impactful. Every ad we create, every Melon University webinar we host, every blog we write and every piece of branded content we design has a purpose: to showcase what makes us different and to keep clients connected with the latest best practices in digital marketing.
While we’re focused on building and strengthening Melon, the ripple effect reaches our clients, too. A stronger Melon brand means better resources, sharper insights, and a fruitful partner who is always evolving with the industry.
We may not run your campaigns day-to-day, but the work we do behind the scenes ensures you have a marketing partner who is visible, innovative and ready to deliver results.
At the end of the day, we see our marketing team as more than a creative department — we’re the engine that keeps Melon’s voice clear and its mission front and center. And that mission is simple: to support clients with a fresher approach to digital marketing.
Here’s your chance to meet the One in a Melon crew working hard behind the curtain to keep our Patch thriving.

Matt McCracken, Marketing Director
What do you handle on the marketing team?
As Marketing Director, I lead our marketing team to ensure Melon Local’s efforts are organized, strategic, and impactful. A big part of my role is making sure our platforms, like Melon University, provide valuable resources for clients and that our website delivers a seamless experience. I also oversee custom creative tasks requested through our Client Success Managers, ensuring these projects are executed with quality and purpose. By keeping our marketing running smoothly, I help our team create content and tools that indirectly support clients while keeping Melon’s brand strong and consistent.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about me is that my wife also works at Melon Local (and no, we didn’t meet here!). We’re both Magic Key holders at Disneyland and love spending time at the parks. My favorite ride is Pirates of the Caribbean, with Rise of the Resistance coming in as a close second.

Jasmin Ramos, Senior Graphic Designer
What do you handle on the marketing team?
As the senior graphic designer, I get to bring our brand to life through everything, from flyers and banners to emails and social posts. I handle both digital and print design, making sure every piece not only looks good but also feels true to our brand. I also oversee visual elements for some of our clients, including Google and Facebook ads. On occasion, you may also see me in some of our promo video content. I love being part of the creative process when it comes to marketing videos, social content and all the fun shoots we get to do.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I love traveling, learning about different cultures, and trying new food. I will take any excuse for a road trip or a flight across the country!
Jacob Lasky, Copywriter
What do you handle on the marketing team?
As Melon Local’s copywriter, I’m primarily responsible for blending creativity and strategy so our brand consistently connects with our audience. If you’ve ever seen any written communication from Melon Local, including blogs, digital ads, newsletters or promo emails, chances are it was written by me. I also write video scripts, and on occasion, serve as a “part-time actor” in some of our content. When it comes to my responsibilities, I like to practice what I preach in our own marketing by applying SEO best practices, creating content that speaks to client needs and staying up to date on the latest trends in digital marketing.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
What can I say? I enjoy the simple things in life — reading a good story, strumming my guitar, listening to records, exploring the city on my bike and the first cup of coffee in the morning.
Richard Viado, Multimedia Content Specialist
What do you handle on the marketing team?
I primarily focus on creating, editing, and producing video content that brings Melon Local’s brand to life. From promotional videos to engaging social content, I make sure every project looks polished and professional. I also assist with paid social ads by providing video assets and supporting analytics for Melon Local’s marketing efforts on platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn. On occasion, I help with other marketing projects that benefit from visual storytelling, ensuring our content consistently connects with our audience.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about myself is that I’m a big anime fan. In fact, my wife and all of my kids are too, so there’s a good chance you may see all of us at some of the different anime events that happen in town.
Makena Warfield, Creative Intern
What do you handle on the marketing team?
In my role as Creative Intern, I get to provide behind-the-scenes support that helps keep things moving within our marketing department. This can include blogs, shaping social media copy or polishing messaging so it feels consistent and clear. I enjoy being a part of the creative process that helps bring Melon Local’s campaigns and brand to life.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I’m a proud military brat! Growing up, I had the unique opportunity to live in two different countries — Frankfurt, Germany and Okinawa, Japan. Those experiences gave me an early appreciation for diverse cultures, new perspectives and the way people connect around the world.
