In total, Inc. recognized 1,132 companies across seven regions in the United States. The regional lists rank businesses according to revenue growth between 2020–2022. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2020. The listed companies are also required to be U.S.-based, privately owned, for-profit and independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies — as of December 31, 2022.
While the median growth rate was 123 percent for all listed companies in the Rocky Mountain region, Melon Local saw an impressive 1,282 percent growth rate between 2020-2022. All of the companies recognized across the U.S. this year produced $75.9 billion in revenue and added 96,129 jobs in 2022.
