August 21, 2024 - After spending four years learning about the ins and outs of insurance while working for his cousin’s agency, Bryan Nowlin fell in love with the industry and felt compelled to open his Fort Worth, TX agency in 2022.

We caught up with Bryan to learn more about what’s kept him with Melon Local and his advice for aspiring agents.
Melon Local: What was your approach to digital marketing when you first opened your agency?
Bryan: I had a great setup previously, working under a top agent who happens to be my cousin and uses Melon Local. My initial approach was to emulate everything he did to the best of my ability and within my budget. There was no question that I needed to use Melon Local.
Melon Local: Sounds like you’ve been set for success since the beginning. Has this been one of the main factors in keeping you loyal to Melon Local?

Melon Local: How have you been liking the results?
Bryan: Melon Local is a major reason why we’re growing so fast. We’re consistently ranked near the top for auto insurance sales in our territory. Melon Local has driven a lot of results, and my team is great at closing the leads we get. Sometimes, we’ve had over 15 or 20 leads in a weekend, while some people don’t get that many in a month.
Melon Local: Can you speak more about the customer service aspect you’ve enjoyed with Melon Local?
Bryan: It’s been fantastic. My Success Manager and I have grown a lot together. The personalized touch in our monthly calls has been great. I trust her to make the adjustments we need to make. She’s excellent at bringing up important points, especially about my budget. I consider her to be a part of my team.
Melon Local: Any words of wisdom for aspiring agents?
Bryan: Make sure you understand your competitors and local market. There’s no better way to do that than by getting involved in the community and understanding what people are going through. Start building a reputation in your community, whether through Google reviews or local events. Working hand in hand with Melon Local is crucial because they have knowledge that we wouldn’t otherwise have.
