July 5, 2023 - As a teen, while working under her father, Ava Stewart saw firsthand the difference a good insurance agent can make in people’s lives.
After working in the corporate world for several years, she returned to her father’s agency so she could have a more direct impact on her community.
She eventually followed in his footsteps and opened her own insurance agency in Miramar, FL. Being of Jamaican descent, Ava especially enjoys being a resource for those of Caribbean heritage.
Of course, another thing she loves about being an insurance agent is the fruitful partnership she’s formed with us!
Here are five things Ava loves about Melon Local!
1. A Company Who Understands
I need a specialty company that understands our business, and I think that’s one thing I love so much about Melon Local — they KNOW their customer base and stick to it. You know, we have a saying in Jamaica, ‘I don’t want to deal with somebody that’s the Jack of all trades but a master of none.’ I would rather have somebody that focuses on one thing. You guys do it, and you do it well.
2. Leveling Up Social Media
Everything you guys do, you completely level up my social media. I give you photos, and you level it up by putting it on a bus bench and things like that. Honestly, I would never leave you guys. I love it — absolutely love it!
I also love how I took some videos from our office and how you guys were able to “Melonize” them into something even more fun and engaging.
3. A Team Resource
One great thing my CSM helped me with was scheduling a time when I had my team on one of our one-on-one Zoom calls.
So instead of doing some of the number stuff, he also explained to the team why it’s so important to get these Google reviews because we know most people go online and see what’s the feedback and what’s the buzz.
He was able to back up what he said. He has a position of power and authority around the team — they’re like, ‘he’s an expert, so he knows!’
4. Quality Above Everything
I think the biggest difference I’ve seen with Melon versus any of the competitors is they maintain a higher quality standard.
I don’t know what in the world Melon’s CEO Whitney is doing — I don’t know how they find you guys, but everybody I’ve dealt with has been not just a nice person but also has a very good work ethic about keeping Melon’s quality of work up. You can tell in the passion and quality of work how different Melon really is.
5. It’s the Little Things
Not only are you guys awesome at what you do, but then it’s those little things that make a world of difference.
You guys always remember and send me little birthday cards, and I get little anniversary gifts and swag — the lunch bags, the beach towel. All those little cards I’ve been getting that have little photos, I’ve been putting them on a little photo box.
Seeing what Melon does makes me want to level up myself for my clients!
